Hello! Welcome to my new website!  Here you will find out about my company, MadeWithGlove, my public speaking and writing on all things wearable technology and fashion and my journey as an entrepreneur.

After starting my business, MadeWithGlove full time in March 2014, I’ve been spreading the glove by sharing my ideas and meeting fantastic people.  I run my business from Manchester and have had the opportunity to travel throughout all parts of the UK and even international trips such as Vietnam.  I am also heading to the mecca of the tech world of Silicon Valley!

The best part of my job is meeting inspiring and fantastic people, sharing stories and engaging with women who suffer from cold hands.  It is here that I want to learn more about their challenges and what they would like in a heated glove so that I can help solve their problems.

I’ve also had the opportunity to attend tech conferences and exhibit my prototype that I won at a Hackathon.  These technology conferences inspire me to learn more about how technology can play a huge part in our lives to improve it.  The challenge that I face is incorporating fashion with technology.

Technology is viewed as a piece of hardware that is typically created on very flat, straight and rigid surfaces.

While clothing, fashion and textiles is flexible, malleable, worn on the body and represents a person’s individual style and fashion.

To create something that mixes fashion with technology that is practical and functional while also looking stylish is a challenge I’m willing to take for all my fellow technistas out there!

Who says we can’t be tech savvy and fashionable at the same time?

Presenting at She Says Manchester “Reflections of an Entrepreneur”

While running my business full time, I’ve been very fortunate to have the opportunity to spread my glove further by speaking at women in technology events to share my challenges and successes with other women.  The support I receive and hopefully give to others is something I take pride in being a part of.

Mentoring students is also a way for me to be involved in creative projects and give back to the community to help young girls and boys find their way in this world.
